It is very nice however hardwiring is not an option for me. The small light that is powered by the solar battery does not put off very much light. It is very dim compared to other solar lights I have on my property. Since I was installing mine on a wood rail I had to find 4 screws that were long enough to fit the base. These lanterns are a great purchase. They are easy to assemble and come with all the hardware needed. This light arrived and I knew upon opening it was bigger than i expected . I haven’t been able to get the light to power on because the remote battery is dead or no good and I’ve not yet replaced . It looks nice , I’m worried about the Kansas winds and storms and how well this will hold up.
