Updated review: I received a replacement set which arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition and included the instructions which the original did not have. After reading the instructions I realized that the original set was in fact functional, the lights have a very discreet on/off button that I didn’t notice before it’s well hidden. The button is on the bottom where the stake goes in. For the hassle I’m giving it three stars but the lights do work very well and customer service came through like they always do. Absolute disaster with packaging. This is what it looked like as soon as I opened the box. There was nothing inside the big box to keep the lights from moving around. Put the lights outside in the sun for over 6 hours but they did not turn on at all at night. None out of a set of 6. These were a great find! I really was looking to include some lighting up to my front porch where its already dark. Honestly, at first when I pulled them out of the box, they seemed super huge, but in the end, I think they will fit well in the space. My front yard is still in the remodel state, with some gravel going in, but I think the photos give you the idea of the space. Only comment is, I wish there wasnt so much styrofoam used in the packaging. Other than that, I havent been able to power them up yet because the order is just lights, not the transformer to power them. I do appreciate the have a good paint finish and seeming construction. I have not wired them in yet because we have 4 feet of snow on the ground at the moment where I live, but they are very durable and I did test the light on another wire and they are very bright without being too LED and in your face. Fantastic set of solar lights! These are way more sturdy than most others. Quite tall also. Came well packaged with no damage.
