So far I love these fans. Ordered them together (2) so they would match rooms that are next to each other. The light is bright enough for large rooms, but can be dimmed, It has 6 speeds which is more than my last fans (only had 3), sturdy, so much lighter than my old ones and easy to put together (per hubby). The real wood blades are nice and very light weight. The wind speed works well for our living room and kitchen. Remote is easy to use and I like that there is a timer on the fan also of 1, 4 and 8 hours. There are 3 light settings so you can choose soft, day, and very bright (the bluish type) to fit your room needs. We like the soft one for the living room and the medium one for the kitchen. Very nice fan! Sleek, lightweight, and the remote is easy to understand. Exactly as it looks. Some fans wobble quite readily, but this one is built to be steady (follow the instructions carefully). We used the longer down-rod, supplied, and the fan barely shifted, even on the highest speed. Note... if you currently have a fan that has 2 wall switches, you will need to consider that, as this fan is built for ONE wall switch, then both the fan and light work off of the remote.
