With their love of geometric forms, architects of the Prairie School interpret organic objects into simplified lines. The Meyda Tiffany Prairie Corn flushmount shade has rows of Chili Red and Wheat kernels and stalks of Bronzed Jade against a Maize Gold background. The stained glass shade is paired with simple Mission style hardware in a Mahogany Bronze finish.

Just. Don’t. The base (see photo) does not allow for an installation that aligns with the glass shade. It would be permanently “wonky.” For the price of this light, that’s completely unacceptable. ALSO, received someone else’s return. Item was packed in styrofoam sheets, parts bag was torn open, and instructions and some small parts were missing. If you order, you’ll probably get my return. Reminiscent of castle and cathedral stained glass, the Fleur-de-lis holds a prominent place in French heraldry. An intricate design of blue, gray, and purple tile mosaics is surrounded by honey art glass fleurs with amber glass jewels. Detailed hardware, accented with golden fleurs hand-finished in copper vein with nu gold accents, cradle the stained glass shade. The shade is handcrafted utilizing Meyda Tiffany's famous copper foil construction process.

The upper glass pieces are slightly more blue than I expected (the picture makes it look almost white with blueish tint -- it's actually very vibrant sky blue) but I decided I didn't mind and I actually love it a lot. This product is a timeless staple of home decor. The various designs are hand-assembled using the copper foil technique developed.

We love the look of this and how it changed the look of our library. It is an inch larger than our previous light fixture, but because it is flush mount, it actually looks smaller. That being said, it seems to give more light, despite the darker shade, because it casts light on the ceiling. It's beautiful and makes a statement in our room.
