These are lovely lights. I purchased 3 to hang from a high cathedral ceiling. The fabric has a very soft pattern that I believe helps to diffuse the light. Although the fabric appears a bright white, and depending on the bulbs you pick, when they are on, it is soft and muted. We put ours on a dimmer, and they can be bright or a really soft accent. At night, stunning. These are very elegant and I feel they can be used in any setting from mid century, to traditional. In my case, it is transitional. These are semi flush mount, and I needed them to hang about 3 feet lower, so we were able to find matching brass rods and the connectors and it looks wonderful. These are a little on the 'light' side, no pun intended. The glass is pretty thin, but they look good. Don't have them up yet, but looking forward to it. As you can see by the photos, I did have an issue with one of the globes being shattered. The FedEx gal decided to literally drop them from about 3' off the ground. She bashed 3 out of 7 packages around on my porch, luckily only one thing got damaged. That I've found so far. Not Wayfair's fault. They handled a replacement very quickly with no hassle. Have had my eye on this light for a while, but it was rarely in stock. I grabbed one as soon as it became available again and couldn’t be happier with it! The design is absolutely beautiful and feels very unique — there’s honestly not much else like it on the market. It adds such a luxurious and refined look to our space and instantly elevated the room. It is a dark brown stain, looks black to the eye standing back.
