I installed this several years ago, and the installation was a bit strange. For the most part, it has worked beautifully. At one point, I think the battery in the remote died and my guests could not turn off the light to go to sleep. We had to remove the strange little bulb. I dread when I have to replace that, because it is unusual. Finally, I have other fan/lights like this of different brands. They all have the same 'problem' that I haven't gotten used to . When you want to dim or brighten it all the way, it's hard to know when you have reached the endpoint till it starts to go the other way. What a surprisingly nice outdoor ceiling fan! Its very nice to look at and has numerous functions. The remote control is easy to operate and the fanlight responds immediately. The light has at least 3 hues and they can all be dimmed. The fan is absolutely quiet. You can reverse blade spin direction to suit the weather and easily control speed.
