Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright. First of all, let me say I always give my honest opinion, when writing a review. Which is why I am totally redoing this one. I was a bit harsh in my old review of this beautiful light fixture. However,it’s been installed for over two weeks, and I love it! It is beautiful! I have it in installed in my small entranceway. I thought perhaps it was going to be too small. No ma’m. !t’s perfect.
