These are very pretty when lit at night. The wavy plastic makes them sparkle in a nice way. Don't get discouraged if you have trouble pulling apart the top cap and lens assembly from the lower black lamp body. You just have to tug firmly and wiggle just a bit and it will eventually come apart. It just felt so tight at first and I submitted a query to customer service. They responded within 24 hours. I just got these solar lights and installed them a couple days ago. So far, I'm loving them! They are very sturdy and being made out of metal, they should last longer. The solar stake light with the wood grained finish is an exceptional way to add a little bit of light without the hassle and mess of wires.

I purchased these to light the side of a house which is set back and has visibility issues, hoping the lights would provide some much needed light to the side area. They have been a failure on every level. The design of these extremely large lights appears cheap and border on unsightly. The lights are plastic with a faux wood bottom which is extremely faux.The construction looks and feels cheap both from a distance and up close. Additionally, these lights have not worked at all in a northern environment. I have tried them in several locations, where I have functional solar lights, without success. On a design level they are not an attractive addition. They also have not been functional in any area, with multiple battery changes and positioning.
