This little lamp is very cute but keep in mind that it is very small. The base is white and gray and the shade is very nice. The light is rechargeable and comes with a remote with many features. It has three shades af white as well as several colors which might be fun during holidays. It also has a timer which is a bonus. This lamp woul look nice in many areas like a mantle, a shelf on a table, kids room, etc. Also handy if the power goes out. The only problem I had with it was that it does not look like the display picture which shows it more of a light beige on the base and it is actually white with gray dots. So keep that in mind..
