Port 68 Table Lamps

Alex is our modern, yet timeless porcelain lamp. We would call this lamp a "designer classic". Perfectly scaled as a bedside or sideboard portable lamp. Accents of aged brass finished metal. A simple round porcelain lamp base has a rich glaze. The lamp features an aged brass-finished metal cylinder finial.

The timeless painterly quality comes to life in a pattern that calls to mind an animal print. Originally painted by madcap cottage designer John Loecke, mill reef is one of our favorite patterns. Under the madcap cottage for the Port 68 collection, the mill reef lamp is a design classic. Scaled in a double gourd shape, this porcelain lamp works well next to the sofa, end table, or buffet. Available in indigo and green with white accents. The lamp will ship with our classic off-white hardback shade (as shown), but the madcap gents suggest mixing it up with one of their patterned shades from their collection. We have also shown the lamp with daffodil Isleboro Eve hardback shade. The sun porch in the madcap's house of bedlam is shown with a pair of lamps with the ever-so-happy, daffodil Isleboro eve shades. As the gents would say - "bring the adventure home". Beautiful lamps but not the color you see on line. It is gray but appears to have a blue-ish tint online. Finial on top of one of the lamps was not attached and I wouldn’t have know what to do with it if I hadn’t bought a second lamp where it was attached. There is a glass ball that I re-glued to the top of finial. I love the shade but the seam at the ends bulges and at first looked defective but it is just the way it is mad. "Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. The LED charged Oceanic lamps offer flexibility on placement for the dining table, outdoor event or hall console where there is no need for a hard wired plugin. The accent lamps are made from hand poured marbleized solid resin vessels where the colors are mixed for a dramatic effect, or come in solid clear. The lamp is then paired with an aged brass finished hardware/cap made of steel. You can place the lamp up or down depending on the light effect you want. The oceanic LED charged lamps have a 8-12 hour charge all depending on the light level and useage. The lamp comes with a usb cable which plugs into a charging block (not included) or into your computer device for charging the battery. Chinese designs came to England and her colonies with the tea trade. In the 1760s Virginia's governor ordered "bamboo chairs" for this Williamsburg "palace". Williamsburg cabinetmaker Edmund Dickinson owned a copy of Chippendales Director, the most fashionable furniture pattern book of the 1750s and 1760s. When he died fighting for the American cause in the Revolution, his Director was worth as much as his "new rifle gun". As part of the Williamsburg for Port 68 collection, Bamboo Trellis celebrates Chippendale in bright meadow green-on-cream porcelain. The pattern was inspired by the dining room chairs in the Governor's Palace. The hexagon-shaped lamp features aged brass finished hardware and ball finial.

Hannah is our modern, yet casual interpretation of a Chinese export pattern that is on a saucer plate made about 1740. The original resides in the Colonial Williamsburg archives. Archaeological fragments decorated with the same aster pattern and bearing similar fluting were excavated at the Geddy House site in Williamsburg, Virginia. The blue asters and cream ground porcelain lamp is part of the Williamsburg collection for Port 68. The graphic blue aster pattern is decorated on the front and back, with cream/white side panels on the shaped lamp body. The lamp is mounted on a black base with aged brass ball feet. The lamp is accented with aged brass hardware and ball finial.
