The light arrived undamaged in secure packaging with all parts included. The instructions were clear on how to assemble, and assembly was simple and quick. The package came with 4 different suspension pole length variations, so how far the light comes down from the ceiling is customizable to any space. Ordered this cylinder pendant to match with 2 others not the same but very similar. The 2 others have white glass and brushed nickel also but shaped differently. If look at 1 - Light Single Dome Pendant by Breakwater Bay you will see. The Milu pendant is for over the kitchen sink; a smaller area. The 2 others (bigger) are for over the breakfast/lunch counter. The traditional style of this pendant features an eye-catching satin opal glass shade floating inside a unique double-forged square design.

This is a nice-looking pendant with decent build quality and a nice finish. Once installed, it was worth the effort. However, getting there was more difficult than it should have been. The instructions didn't match the characteristics of the fixture in some cases, and although there was a "parts bag", some of the parts were already attached to various components of the fixture. On more than one occasion I assumed that a part was missing, only to find that it was actually attached to some part of the fixture and needed to be removed to be reinstalled in the place indicated on the instructions. Further, the instructions pointed to an included "socket wrench" for fixing a lock ring in place inside a tight space and there was nothing like that included in the box. This can be done so much better, by at least giving the parts a number or letter and referring to that in diagrams and instructions, but there is no such assistance here. This is a bit like how self-assembly instructions from the 1980s looked. Proper installation of this suggests four drywall plugs in the ceiling in addition to attachment to the ceiling box (the instructions say two, but four were included, and there are holes for four). This is probably not necessary but the unit probably won't pull flush to the ceiling without it. Although it's obvious to some, make sure you know the difference between a wood screw and a mounting screw because the instructions offer no such aid :) Otherwise, after installed, it works fine, dims fine, and looks modern and classy.. We really like this kitchen island lighting except for two things. Half the online photos give the appearance of silver swirls in the glass, which look very nice. But, there are no silver swirls in the glass, not even a hint of silver swirls. And, speaking of glass, one globe seems pretty much made properly but the other 2 have flaws that make one think its been broken and reglued. Changing height level requires completely uninstalling and reinstalling whole fixture so make sure to get height right on install.
