Beautiful, sturdy lamp post. I bought this to replace a broken one we had but unfortunately the base holes did not match up perfectly with our current base. This light fixture is terrific. It is made of metal, no cheap plastic, and there is a beautiful engraving pattern on the glass, something I wasn't anticipating. They included the bulb, which is supposed to flicker I believe. The thumbnail photo of the listing makes the glass look smoked, but it is crystal clear! When I first purchased it for a pole I already have, I was concerned that the square base was the only option. I was wrong. You have the OPTION of square or round bases! I even took it to the pole and ensured it fit. Installation looks quite easy (the problem is the base of the pole on the snow covered ground, we have to wait until spring. But I am incredibly excited to see this assembled on the pole, and working in the yard. It will be a nice improvement to our exterior lighting in a subdivision that doesn't have any street lights.. This dusk to dawn outdoor lamp post in rub oil bronze color is gorgeous! It is NOT solar, it is electrical, but it still is a great attribution to your outdoor aesthetics. It took my husband about an hour to put it together and he has plans to make it become solar powered! The lights are very bright for nighttime and look beautiful during the daytime too. Shipping was quick and packaging was proper, nothing was damaged. It is well made and heavy duty.
