This Kahler 4 light kitchen island linear pendant light streamlines the classic chandelier look for a modern update to your French country space. It's made of metal with two sloping arms that feature two lights each, evenly spread across its 40'' width. Each candle-style light features a fresh white fabric shade with a bell shape that softens the look. We love that this pendant light is height adjustable as well as sloped ceiling compatible up to 15 degrees in any direction. Additional angling can be achieved by the sloped ceiling adaptor (not included). This light fixture works perfectly in our bathroom. We wanted to replace the original builder-grade light that came with the house, but I had trouble finding something that met our needs. Our previous fixture was ceiling-mounted, while most bathroom lights are designed to be installed on the wall above or beside a mirror. I actually found this light while browsing kitchen fixtures, and my husband suggested it might work well in the bathroom—and he was right. It looks great installed. I especially love that the wiring is fully enclosed in metal tubes. Our old fixture had exposed wiring threaded through chains, which was difficult to keep clean. This fixture also provides three lights, and because the bottom of each sconce is open and the bulbs point downward, it gives off excellent, bright light—perfect for waking up in the morning. Installation notes • Some parts are secured with set screws the correct size Allen wrench is included, which is a nice touch. • The instructions need a small correction two pairs of wires exit the assembled fixture for connection to household wiring, but the instructions only show and describe one pair. • Overall, assembly and installation were straightforward and manageable. I have the brushed nickel light fitting and it’s far superior to the one it replaces. I only have one issue with it, and that’s the black electrical cords seem a little stark against the silver of the light shades. The cord on my old pendant lights was silver and was less noticeable. The fitting gives off a good light over our island. I love that the bulbs screw in which is way better than the push in ones that the old fitting had. The fitting comes with no bulbs.. Deborah.
