Our veneers are selected to give the best wood grain effects when illuminated and all have been sourced from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council - FSC. Nothing comes close to the beauty of these veneers as a diffusion material and no other veneer treatment gives the strength and the protection to the material with out sacrificing the delicacy and subtleness that this natural material communicates when illuminated. It was way back in 1858 when German mathematicians August Ferdinand Mobius and Johann Benedict Listing discovered the mysterious Mobius Strip, with its eternally flowing surface. In 2013 Ray Power created LINK. And so the story of infinite geometry continues through the magic of light.

The 1st Baron Bourchier was born several hundred years too late to enjoy hanging NUT throughout his shadowy castle. Which is a pity, because the granny knot on which NUT is based sat proudly on the heraldic badge of the Bourchier family. We however are fortunate to live in an era when NUT can adorn our own little castles; a powerful symbol of our exquisite breeding. We can thank the brilliant Marivi Calvo and Ray Power for their valor and insight. Long may they reign supreme.

Was it Murder on the Orient Express, or Death on the Nile that captured the imagination of designer Luis Eslava? Whatever the case, he became enamoured with novelist Agatha Christie, and chose to celebrate her murder-mystery tomes with this equally mysterious lamp named in her honour. And while Christie weaves an intriguing tale, Eslava has woven a captivating piece of light-art that asks us only one curly question: Was it the butler?

Debated about this fixture for months because it was not eligible to return. So thrilled with it and have received lots of compliments.. Melissa. Rockville Centre, NY. Wed Jun 01 2016

I-LINE, THE ARCHITECTURAL LIGHT. I-Line Slim is a smooth and sleek lamp, with a clean, architectural line. Designed by long-time LZF collaborator Burkhard Dämmer, I-Line is available in two sizes: short and long suspension. I-Line’s unfussy design is perfect in places and spaces that call for a practical, yet elegant, luminaire: above a countertop or a work table, for example. I-Line’s wood veneer, dimmable LED, and light-filtering diffuser, provide both direct and ambient light. In I-Line, Burkhard Dämmer has created a lamp that is simple, symmetrical and serene.

The Zeta Pendant brings a quiet, contemporary presence to the bedroom or living room, shaped by a clean conical silhouette. Warm wood veneer softens the look, while metal details keep the form crisp and tailored. The result feels familiar and refined—an easy layer of calm light over the moments that slow the day down.

Agatha’s elegant whorls of wood veneer strips combine to form an appealing suspension lamp. Designed by Luis Eslava Studio, the lamps’s concentric layers create an intriguing shape, one that sets Agatha apart. Gazing at those elegant whorls, we might visualise Agatha as a wonderfully ageing thespian: a shining light. The Agatha Ball is the clever coalescence of two Agatha Small lamps, with its whorls of wood veneer strips appearing like a captivating ball of light. The Agatha Ball is available in the following wood veneers: Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Grey, Pale Rose & Sea Blue. The canopy has a Matt Nickel finish.

After a collaboration of more than ten years, Dandelion is Burkhard Dämmer’s latest contribution to LZF.Dandelion can be considered as one single lamp or a combination of lamps. Inside, every shade several LED circuits are hidden, which can be lit all at once or by sections to meet the requirements of the room and the time of day. Outside, the LZF wood veneer enfolds every geometrical shape, like cones sinking at different depths into the heart of Dandelion. The result is a very original lamp, a geometric puzzle of light which resembles one of the most basic forms of life.

The Spore Pendant brings a calm, contemporary glow to a dining room or entryway, echoing the simple poetry of a sphere in nature. Hand-shaped ceramic forms an elemental centerpiece, paired with metal hardware for a clean, finished hang. Inspired by the idea of a single seed or cell, it adds a quietly sculptural presence overhead.

Omma is an inventive lamp, like a tree with fluttering leaves full of light. In Eli Gutierrez’s prepossessing design, it is almost possible to imagine the lamp’s movable wood veneer, artfully edged with metal, flapping in a gentle breeze.

The Hotel Pendant brings a calm, contemporary glow to a dining room or entryway, with a shade that feels warm and architectural overhead. Crafted from metal with a wood veneer accent, it balances crisp structure with a softened, natural note for everyday spaces.

DANDELION, THE RADIANT LIGHT. Bearing a resemblance to its flowering namesake, Burkhard Dämmer’s large Dandelion suspension lamp is a radiant composite of many single florets. Independent and distinct, each funnel-shaped floret appears to shine alone, yet en masse they create the Dandelion’s sparkle. The florets are made using LZF’s wood veneer and then placed side by side, where they rise and fall in tandem from the Dandelion’s centre. The effect is striking, with every funnel of light coalescing in one collective and brilliant whole. The Dandelion pendant was the recipient of the prestigious German Design Award 2017.

Designed by Ramón Esteve, Black Note is an architectural lamp whose perpendicular shades rise and fall in harmony. Black Note’s rhythmic arrangement is inspired by a piano’s black keys, their sharps and flats used to add a dramatic effect. The rhythmic arrangement of eight upright wood veneer shades on the Black Note Keys Suspension lamp achieve a striking silhouette. Combining wood veneer and a trim metal structure, this contemporary lamp is both sharp and impressive. Black Note Keys is available in three wood veneers: Natural Cherry, Ivory White y Natural Beech. Its metal finishes are Matt Black and Gold.

Totem is a veritable feast for the senses, a light whose proportions enliven a space with dramatic effect. Envisaged by designers Mariví Calvo and Burkhard Dämmer, Totem evolved from the clever amalgamation of Dämmer’s Pod and Poppy pendants. A sublime lighting structure, Totem has the emblematic air of a sacred object, a light whose shape and spirit are reflected in cultures worldwide. Available in three stacked variations, the Totem pendant diffuses warm light through the gaps in its wood veneer strips. As a physical entity, Totem’s presence is impressive. Just as important, its spiritual quality is entirely unreserved.

Designed by Burkhard Dämmer, I-Club epitomises the use of clean lines in good design. The symmetrical beauty of this lamp is evident across each of its forms. Available as a Short or Long lighting fixture, the I-Club Slim Suspension has the option of a black or white top diffuser (black preventing any upward light), and a matt satin acrylic bottom diffuser. This sharp and elegant lamp is especially ideal for any environment requiring directional, downward lighting, for example, above a desk or kitchen surface. The I-Club Slim Suspension is also striking when arranged in a uniform formation. The I-Club Slim Suspension is available in the following wood veneers: Natural Cherry, Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Grey, Pale Rose, and Sea Blue.

First presented in 1995, the Romanica series illustrates the origin of LZF Lamps, a collection made exclusively with reconstructed wood diffusers. The simple cylindrical form of Romanica highlights the natural beauty of the woodgrain and handcraft, and is offered in six sizes of suspension and wall mounted fixtures.

A family of eight variations on a simple graphic theme of drum shape that is formed of wood veneer, gea and super gea includes suspension, floor and wall fixtures. Each lamp in the collection creates a delicate atmosphere and highlights the rich texture of the woodgrain.

Designed by Mariví Calvo, Gea is a classic example of a lamp whose form is thoroughly unpretentious. Gea’s circular structure showcases the clean lines of thoughtful design: a lamp that is decorative, unobtrusive, and timeless. Gea’s classic form is ideally suited to a range of environments, both commercial and residential. Gea Suspension is available in three sizes: Small, Large, and Slim. The Gea Suspension will also make a striking lighting cluster, especially when combining different sizes. The Gea Small and Large Suspension lamps use a traditional E27 lightbulb and incorporate a matt satin acrylic diffuser. Gea Slim uses an integrated LED light source and has the option of a black or white top diffuser, and a matt satin acrylic bottom diffuser. The Gea Suspension is available in the following wood veneers: Natural Cherry, Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Grey, Pale Rose, and Sea Blue.

The Link Chain melodically chains together all the strength of great promises so that Light and design can remain united. A chain created by the hands of Mariví Calvo and Ray Power.

Dune is a sculptural light whose shape is intriguingly amorphous. Designed by Madrid-based Mayice, Dune is a single piece of hand-blown borosilicate glass, enveloping a wood veneer diffuser with a seedpod-like opening on one side. The glass is hand-blown by Eduardo Garuti, an accomplished artisan. With mastery and great dexterity, Garuti is able to reveal the natural beauty found in glass. Dune’s distinctive shape is made up of two symmetrical ends, and an irregular, bulb-shaped centre. The wood veneer diffuser houses the lamp’s dimmable LED light source, and downward light from the seedpod-like opening is softened by the glass. Each Dune lamp is unique: the beauty found in the imperfection of hand-blown glass, with its almost wabi-sabi quality, ensures Dune is like a piece of art. Indeed, each lamp is signed by the artisan, Eduardo Garuti. Is now available in a striking vertical version.

MARUJA, THE DO-IT-YOURSELF LAMP. An original self-assembly pendant, Maruja was designed by the fresh-faced Gazpacho Studio—it is LZF’s first flat-pack fixture. A contemporary lamp, Maruja’s design is simultaneously unfussy and decorative. Maruja is a name whose origins lie in Galicia, and signifies both femininity and strength. The do-it-yourself Maruja is packaged with all the components needed to assemble the lamp: wood veneer strips (in several sizes), a circular frame, and pins. Maruja is easily constructed, without the need for any tools or adhesives. Using a pin, each wooden strip is clipped onto the circular frame—insert a light bulb, and you will have created an elegant, handmade lamp. The wood veneer strips hang and move freely, and when illuminated, Maruja sparkles with life.

Estela is a captivating capsule of light. In Estela, Mayice designed a clean, clear, single piece of borosilicate glass. Hand-blown by the accomplished artisan Eduardo Garuti, the glass envelopes a cylinder-like wood veneer diffuser. The wood veneer houses a dimmable LED light source, and a straight opening on one side emits downward light that is softened by the glass. Offering a seamless connection between both glass and wood, Estela is a radiant lamp with a celestial-like quality. Similar to Dune, Estela’s natural imperfections, a characteristic of hand-blown glass, add to its warmth and elegance. Each lamp is signed by the artisan, Eduardo Garuti. Estela is now available in a vertical formation with three sizes: 100 cm, 60cm, and 40cm.

Formed by two fine veneer sheets that wave symmetrically to contain the light source within soft curves, Hola is a horizontal suspension piece of great lightness, both warm and elegant. Its singular, horizontally flexing shape can be grouped in multiples on a radial mast for larger spaces.

The Woodstraps LED Pendant casts a warm, layered glow that feels calm and sculptural in a dining room or entryway. Pressed wood veneer straps curve into an enveloping, pod-like form, joined by fixed buckles that add a crafted, architectural rhythm. A metal framework supports the modular design, letting light spill from the center and play across the overlapping bands.

POD & POPPY are a husk that shines with the power of radiance.

STITCHES, THE EMBROIDERED LIGHT. Egbert-Jan Lam of Netherlands-based Burojet Design Studio created the ‘embroidered’ Stitches family of lamps. Called Mopti, Tombuctú, Djenné and Bamako—after towns and cities in the West African nation of Mali—each lamp has its own distinct pattern. To make an individual lamp, veneer lengths are crafted in a traditional sewing fashion: the pattern is marked out, cut and then repeated. Where hemming is normally used to complete a garment, the Stitches lamp has a visible hemstitch through which light radiates. The unique shape of each Stitches lamp is an allusion to the adobe mosques found across Mali. Moreover, the Stitches lamps embody Mali’s long history as a producer of embroidery.

Designed by Ray Power, Lola showcases the designer’s ability to create imaginative three-dimensional forms. Lola is a conical lamp with an intricate geometric pattern. A veritable labour of love, Lola’s shape went through many iterations, drawings and prototypes, before arriving at the finished form. A particularly piquant Spanish name, Lola is very much alive, sensuous, and intriguing. An avant-garde lamp, Lola’s complex woven veneer construction is beautifully accentuated when lit. The textural pattern of Lola’s woven wood veneer shade comes alive in the Lola Suspension lamp. Lola’s unique construction is testament to the skill of LZF’s craftspeople. The Lola Suspension is available in Ivory White or Natural Beech wood veneers. The metal canopy is available in Matt Nickel.

Anfora is a lamp designed to motivate and capture the eye. Within its amphora-shaped silhouette, the panels that compose its three dimensional shade appear to be in motion, turning outside in, and inside out. The light source bathes the shade to create depth of both reflection and translucence, and highlights the twists and turns.
