We found it very difficult to find wet rated ceiling fans for our outdoor location. This fan is very pleasing to look at utilizing prime wood for the blades. It was not very difficult to install on our back porch the height and space we had was restricted so we had to modify the drop down tube by cutting it off and redrilling the bolt holes.
