Nautical vibe I was looking for! I have to show the unboxing of this lamp! It is a perfectly protected item in styrofoam and wrapped in cellophane. I was impressed with the weight and quality of this lamp. I haven't yet installed it but putting together this lamp takes literally 2 seconds. It is a well designed quality piece. I am happy with this purchase and can't wait until our reno is complete, to install it! We love this spotlight above our hearth! The reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because the inner lining of the shades are golden therefore, if you use white light bulbs, you’ll still get a sunlit golden glow and not a ‘bright’ white (even if you use a bright white LED bulb). The fixture is very pretty and thus the 5 stars. I never got to install it because one of the globes arrived shattered. I was going to opt for a replacement globe however, the replacement would be arriving so late that I would fall outside the return window if there was an issue. My replacement was estimated to be delivered apex. 12/18 and that was assuming that there were no delays. I had till 12/30 to return it for a full refund and since it’s the holidays I didn’t want to chance it so it’s going back. Customer service was great handling the issue which I really appreciated. Another item to remember is that the globes are not thick glass and there is a cautionary note that the globes may chip or break upon installation if you tighten the screws too much.. Gilda.
