I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. We bought 4 of these to light up and decorate each side of a large archway in our home. I wish the gold was a little more aged than bright gold, but I can change that with a little paint. Love love love these! They came extremely well packaged. The glass is a thick high quality. It’s very heavy but I don’t feel that it’s too heavy for the arm of the light to support it.
