I thought the black shades had yellow metal inside, but they are fully black. This actually turned to advantage as they reflect any color light bulb you put inside. I’m obsessed with these. I paid attention to the reviews noting how fragile the pendants were - I was very careful when unpacking and even more so when screwing on the pendants. They look amazing!
