Brought this to replace lamp post we had over ten years that was in a planter they recommend not using the easy mount made for single heads but i did any ways install was easy and the lamp stayed upright with the 50 plus mile an hour winds our soil is clay after 6 inches down so it anchored well and stays lit all night long on soft white even thru the recent snow storms we had after things had thawed out.. The problem I foresee is someone with no electrical experience trying to put it together and install it. My husband is an electrician, and I’m glad. This light fixture is terrific. It is made of metal, no cheap plastic, and there is a beautiful engraving pattern on the glass, something I wasn't anticipating. They included the bulb, which is supposed to flicker I believe. The thumbnail photo of the listing makes the glass look smoked, but it is crystal clear! When I first purchased it for a pole I already have, I was concerned that the square base was the only option. I was wrong. You have the OPTION of square or round bases! I even took it to the pole and ensured it fit. Installation looks quite easy (the problem is the base of the pole on the snow covered ground, we have to wait until spring. But I am incredibly excited to see this assembled on the pole, and working in the yard. It will be a nice improvement to our exterior lighting in a subdivision that doesn't have any street lights..
