Petite shades are an easy way to bring added style to a space while also introducing color and texture, particularly when it is made from artisanal marbleized paper and ornamented with two layers of grosgrain ribbon in different hues. The saturation of the colors on the handmade tapered and cylindrical shades for chandeliers and wall sconces is achieved by a New England atelier. Petite shades made of a finely woven grasscloth bring added warmth to a space. Due to the natural material’s inherent texture, there is a knotty richness to their surfaces, though the lighter hues are so delicate they read like linen. In fact, the shades for chandeliers and wall sconces in this collection are of the finest weaves made by hand, evidenced by the tiny telltale knots along the surface that prove they are the ultimate definition of artisanal. The shades come in three different weaves, the one with the most texture trimmed in thin bands of cloth and the finer ones culminating with a rolled edge. Both designs exhibit a tailored feel, as you can see from this natural version of the drum shade.

Well this lamp shade has many problems. It requires assembly. That wouldn't be bad by itself but the clips on the lampshade do not even fully wrap around the lampshade frame. So they don't hold the lampshade and the frame just falls out all of the time. Not sure how this got through quality control honestly. You can't even place it on the lamp base without it all falling apart. Including photos to show how bad the clips are. The sizing of the opening is too large for my lamp but using one adapter in a different way under the frame allowed it sit on the lamp. I used needle nose pliers on the tiny clamps to try to keep the shade on the frame. Lets see if it holds but will likely return.
