I really like this floor lamp and it was pretty easy to assemble. The instructions were not very detailed so I had to wing it on some of the steps. Finally, a TALL floor lamp. My ceilings are over eleven feet tall and I had a difficult time finding a floor lamp tall enough to accommodate the scale of my room. Now I have four lamps with no shades. I bought shades at the store to use; but, because of the way the lamp is made, it will require a specific lamp shade.
