This is really an attractive lamp. We mounted it near a door on the sunniest side of our house. There is a choice of dimmer or brighter setting on the lamp, I suppose to modulate how long the battery charge will last. For us, this is excellent in the summer because of more sun and longer days. I'm finding that I'm less satisfied with it as a solution during the winter, not because of the lamp itself, but because our winter days are often excessively overcast and it gets dark early. So the battery charges less because of less ambient light, and then runs out of charge earlier in the evening because depletion of the battery starts earlier.. Jennifer. Portland, OR. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this lantern. It looks nice sitting outside and gives off a warm, relaxing glow. I also like that it can be charged by USB, which is convenient when there isn’t enough sunlight. It feels pretty sturdy and seems well made. I do wish the light was a little brighter, but overall I’m happy with it and would recommend it.. Robertf. Mon Sep 21 2026
