You mount them on posts that you stake into the ground, and during the day the solar panel atop the lights collects rays from the sun, charging the battery within so that energy can be utilized as light when it gets dark. The lights have an internal light sensor so that they turn on automatically at dusk, and off at dawn.

These solar lights are good but if youre mounting them on a vinyl fence post you will have to improvise a way to mount them on a hollow post. It has no mounting adapters but has to be installed so you can access the switch and battery, so it cant be glued.. Anonymous. Thu Apr 23 2026
