Antique Brass Outdoor Hanging Lights

Inspired by colonial gas lanterns hanging from the vestibules of meetinghouses and taverns in sleepy New England villages and lighting the porches of clapboard-clad homes lining winding cobblestone streets, this traditional two-light outdoor hanging lantern wears its American heritage with pride. Made from solid brass in a handsome metal finish, this chain-hung design showcases a raised canopy, a decorative milled knop, and a traditional candle-style fixture enveloped in clear, beveled glass panels. Establish a timeless, inviting aesthetic on your front porch by setting a planked-top accent table between a pair of spindle-back rocking chairs. Install this handsome design overhead to illuminate the scene in a soft glow, then sit back with your better half and sip on a mug of hot coffee while enjoying the breeze.

Love Love Love this lighting fixture. The LED lights shine brightly and illuminates the walkway. It looks 100 times better than the flat one builder put up.. Donna. Gulf Shores, AL. Thu Sep 10 2026

Originally made to provide people with a source of light, lanterns were first designed for function, not fashion. Today, they incorporate both. Take this one, for example: designed to hang from your ceiling, this hanging lantern features a tapered silhouette that’s crafted from metal and features a neutral finish that allows it to blend with your color scheme. Glass panes diffuse light from the candelabra-base bulbs (not included), while a damp location rating allows it to safely hang on your porch or back deck.

It’s great but the white part does turn a “burnt” color near the light bulbs.. Trisha. KY. Thu Sep 03 2026

This modern lantern illuminates your entryway with a streamlined style. It's made from solid brass in a matte black finish, with a mid-century take on a hanging lantern design. This outdoor lantern features a clean-lined rectangular silhouette with a pyramid top and clear glass panels. Three 60W bulbs (not included) rest in a brushed silver candelabra, while a square finial connects the lantern to a simple chain. The clear seeded glass shade has small bubbles within the glass that add a unique look and soften the light. Classically styled lantern with Candelabra bulbs adds elegance to a front porch, an outdoor covered seating, entertainment area or a lounge

We hung ours from a tree. In the rain, in the sun, it works and looks good. It was a bit pricey so I don't know if I would order it again, but it is definitely weather resistant and looks just like the photo. No fading, no peeling. I would probably buy one again, but prices on these things need to come down.. Jefferson. Los Angeles, CA. Fri Apr 21 2023

This is more of an issue for All Modern and their lack of details on the specification page. This fixture is beautiful however, it comes with a very long rod already assembled making it difficult to adjust during the installation. We intend to hang this light from the canopy above our porch and the 31" rod makes it set far too low. We will have to take the fixture apart, cut and re-thread the extension rod and reassemble in order to make this a useful fixture. If the description had included this information I would not have ordered the light. It is custom made and non-returnable so I am stuck with it. I am building a new house and spending tens of thousands of dollars on line ordering lighting, fixtures, furniture etc. I will be unlikely to use All Modern again as I cannot trust that their descriptions are accurate. Pros: pretty fixture, quality piece Cons: Description is inaccurate.. Dorthea. North Conway, NH. Thu Aug 06 2015

Perfect size for a entry area, great craftsmanship, and adds a really nice accent piece for curb appeal. A bit pricey, but its worth every penny (and get 20% off after reviewing a prior order). Peter Bouton. Niskayuna, NY. Sun Apr 29 2012

The Mariner Outdoor Pendant brings a vintage headlight silhouette to a covered porch or patio, casting a clean, focused glow. A clear glass diffuser and metal body create that industrial, modern edge while keeping the look easy to layer with other exterior lighting.
