Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. This seems like good fan, packed well all parts included, it can be all black or the blades also have wood tone on one side, we chose the wood and it has an LED light. Fairly easy to assemble and install, the remote is huge and also needs an extra part installed for the remote to work which isn't that big of a deal just seems like an extra step when other fans we have just have the remote integrated.. The light fixture has been good overall. I put it in my daughter’s room. Not sure if it’s just my electrical situation or what but for some reason there’s like a solid 2 second delay between turning on the switch and when the light actually turns on. If I were to just keep the switch in the on position and only use the remote, this does not happen but it’s easier for my daughter to just use the switch. Also when you use the switch it reverts back to the medium color tone option so if you like it on the cool or warm setting you’ll have to either change it back each time or only use the remote to turn it on and off. It doesn’t put off the most light in the world… I should have added some can lights to the room when we were building but it’s enough light to be okay with it. If you are looking for lots of light tho this may not be for you. *update after 1 year and 4 months the light went out. The fan still works but not the light.
