It has a detachable iron ring, which is used for covering gaps from mis-cut and over-sized holes, or covering unsightly and torn drywall caused by the removal of existing trim. The 6 inch light trim has satin nickel metal step baffle to create a soft lighting effect. It is made by durable metal construction, which can last many years which is much longer than other plastic trim’s, without aging or turning yellow. Pretty and great green color. Would be fantastic in a brightly painted room with white ceiling. The green color is so nice, it didnt work in the room I had ordered it for. It has a vintage feel to it I think. If you like glass from the 40s, this is very similar. I am remodeling my kids room so I can use it on a different room.
