Bent pairs the raw weight of cement fiber with the warmth of handwoven rattan. The lower half is a wide, solid drum in matte grey cement fiber with softly rounded shoulders and a lightly mottled, stone-like surface. Above it rises a tapered rattan crown, woven in a sweeping spiral that narrows to a slender top and is fixed to the cement rim with small dark ties. The solid lower half directs light down onto the table, while the rattan crown adds texture and a softer glow above.
The contrast of mineral and natural fiber suits industrial, wabi-sabi, Japandi and modern rustic interiors. At 23 in wide, Bent works well over kitchen islands, dining tables, café counters and work tables, alone or in a row. Each piece is finished by hand, so slight variations in the cement surface and weave are part of its character. This listing is for the shade only.
