It seemed a little smaller than anticipated when I got it out of the packaging. However, it fits my needs perfectly. The material is solid if a little thin, including the laptop back padding. It makes the bag lightweight if that counts. Decent for the price I paid. 4 stars.

The design is very nice and it holds a good amount of things. It is comfortable to carry with both shoulder straps or just one. I’ve been a loyal customer of High Sierra for years and have always been impressed by the durability of their products. One of my High Sierra backpacks even lasted me four years, despite heavy daily use. That said, the Outburst 2.0 feels a bit less robust than what I’m accustomed to from this brand. The material feels somewhat cheaper, which makes me question its long-term durability. I’ve always relied on High Sierra for roomy, long-lasting bags, and while this one scores points for style, it falls short in terms of capacity and build quality. Overall, while the backpack is aesthetically pleasing, its smaller size and seemingly compromised quality leave me hesitant to fully endorse it. If you’re looking for a compact bag for light use, this might fit the bill. But for those used to the spaciousness and durability typical of High Sierra, this particular model might be a letdown.

The straps are super sturdy and padded not to hurt shoulders or back. I like the pocket in the front to stick something in. The dual water pockets are great for drinks! You can put a small laptop in it and carry a bunch of school books! I like to use it for traveling and when we go out with the scout group we are a part of. I can fit the essentials and more. It's lightweight and very comfy on the arms with the arm straps. I love it and you will too!
