A bit more "rustic" than I realized, with a rough finish on top, but nice real wood. Had to add extra screws to secure to mounting board but very happy with the finished product!

Beautiful, well made and easy to install.

Was so excited for this to arrive. Until I opened it an discovered it was not anything close to modern. However if you want a rustic mantle that looks and feels more like railroad tie or rough barn wood then this would work great. More frustrating is I placed a return the same day and have to pay shipping upwards around $30.00 for a product that to me has a bad website description. The picture for sure does not look like the mantle.

I liked the color and texture of this mantle. It is very lightweight, which made it easy for me to pick it up and install it on my own. The only negative is that the installation hardware isn’t the greatest. I installed mine on top of my fireplace frame so it was fine, but I wouldn’t feel confident just using the hardware it came with if I had wall mounted the mantle.
