You definitely need a box spring or more slats. The slats that it comes with isn’t enough to keep up just a mattress. If I would have known, I would have bought a different frame. After buying more slats and/or box spring I have now spent more than if I would have just bought a better frame.

This is our second time ordering this bed since we are setting up two homes and my daughter likes it so much she wanted the SAME bed in both spaces. That’s a win!

Super cute - not too difficult to put together. Wish it had more slats. Color is perfect - a nice true white - exactly what my daughter wanted!

The base sticks out too much from the mattress so you may bump your leg along the bottom. ASSEMBLY: (0 stars) I paid for assembly. The person showed up with no tools. (I had to provide them). Then she spent 99% of the time on her phone. The first time guests laid down on the bed, it literally fell apart! The assembly-person did not tighten the screws. She just put them in the holes. Terrible, is an understatement!

Overall, a good bed for the price. However, it sits really low to the ground so I wouldn’t recommend for adults. A bit difficult to get on and off of.
