Smoot Faux Leather Upholstered Storage Bench

The bench was easy to assemble and did not require much time. It can be assembled by one person. The bench looks great and the storage compartment under the seat is handy for keeping items other than shoes.

Nice, sturdy, small shoe rack. Fits perfect in our smaller utility room without getting in the way. Took me a few weeks to decide to put together because I was dreading doing it but it wasn’t bad. Packaged very well. Instructions suggested would go faster with another person which made me giggle. Took about 20 mins to assemble. Highly suggest for small small space.

This little shoe bench is a Big help with organization and convenience! I have a small entry way and a lot of accessories! My entryway and my living room are two steps apart, so I needed a shoe bench that would keep our shoes from cluttering up the living room, but not take up so much room on the living room wall that it didn’t allow for the “cat town” we have set up for our kitty in front of our living room window! lol This shoe bench is perfect! It holds multiple pairs of shoes on its shelves, and all the necessary winter gear (hats, gloves, sunglasses, scarves, etc…) fits, abundantly, in the storage space under the benches seat. When the gkids are here I can even put backpacks with completed homework and any books they have, in there! Keeping everything together and ready to go, in the morning rush to get out of here! lol This shoe bench is pretty, adding character to the decor. It holds the weight of every family member, from grown men of avg size to wiggle worm little kids of any age. lol. It is even comfortable to sit on after everyone has their shoes on and are ready to walk out the door…when some kid forgets something they HAVE TO HAVE and you’re left waiting until they find it! lol. Highly recommend!!

I really wanted to like this little storage bench, but it fell short. I had a really hard time getting the hinges screwed into the main piece following the instructions. After attaching the hinge to the bench top, it was too heavy to balance to screw it into the main shelving unit. The hinge slid into the hole at an odd angle and got stuck. I ripped the wood trying to get the hinge unstuck. My son came over (about 225 lb) and sat down on the bench. You could hear the wood crunch and break under his weight. When you look at the pictures in the item description, it's very clear that people sitting on the bench are photoshopped. The shoes looked photoshopped too.

This is perfect for my small entryway! Easy to assemble with explicit instructions, the top has a soft close but I kinda messed up when putting top on by not making sure it was in alignment. This should be good for gentle wear and tear as the back piece is made of cardboard, I wear women’s size 7, and can only fit two pair and a half on each shelf.

Quality about right given the price. A little harder to put together than expected — e.g. instructions don’t advise that you need tools from the start.

This storage bench was the only one I could find to fit the available space, so it was kind of my only option. I was worried it would be flimsy, but it easily holds my 220-pound husband. It's easy to assemble and very minimalist, and I love the storage drawer at the top so I can hide my purse and keys. The faux leather material is "meh"...not as nice as real leather, but it keeps the price low. I would buy this again.
