Haha! This is the review for the globe lamp I just reviewed. The post works, holding up the light globe just fine. No corrosion so far, here in the salty air of the north Oregon coast.

Arrived on time and very sturdy as expected. We hired the handyman through Wayfair and he did a wonderful job replacing the new posts.

The post is sleek and modern. We did have it shortened to sit on a post holder

Customer Service tried. Second order to replace first post ordered with one compatible with the diameter of the same manufacturer’s “Pier Mount Base”. Customer Service called the vendor directly and was assured the post would work with the pier mount base I had purchased with the first post. It doesn’t. What the item descriptions fail to mention anywhere is that all of these posts are engineered for “Direct Burial” into concretesoil at least 18”. As a result, they are actually smaller in diameter than the pier mount bases sold that are made only to fit the “post mount base” of your lamp head, e.g., on a deck railing post, etc., and are about 18” larger in diameter than these direct burial posts they’re selling. I expected and needed the post to tightly fit the outside or inside of the pier mount base (actually shown in another pier mount base ad on Wayfair). Anyone living where the ground freezes will have their lamp post pop out of the ground or blown over in very few years. I needed a simple post and pier mount for bolting to the top of my 48” deep (below the 42” frost line in SE Michigan) poured concrete footing. I wound up buying a 3” core drilling bit and adapter for my SDS MAX Demolition Hammer to set the small post into the concrete footing that cost more than the dang post and pier mount base. There is no such thing as “Standard 3” Post Size”.

What base is used with this Bought a 3 inch base... doesnt fit. Is there a sleeve for the inside.

We ordered this with the outlet and photocell. I’m glad we did because of the convenience. This is a direct bury post, so it goes straight into concrete. The directions for installing the post and wiring were easy to follow. It is thin so I’m not sure how it would hold up in windy locations.

I have not receive all my order. Unable it have it installed to give an full rateing.

Now that they are installed makes a world of difference coming up driveway!
