This lamp needs to be understood to be loved. Sleek style and strong steel and light in weight AND bright in flexible lighting options. Expecting a heavy bottom Buy a different one, this one moves easily and stands on its own readily. Bought it despite 2 star rating after reading carefully and reading more. Very pleased! It picks up quick and lights up new spaces as needed. Used it to line up cut and hang wallpaper last night. Moving it to a puzzle table tonight. If you have ANY overhead lighting problems, this could be the answer. The long light bar is about 16 inches. Take that off the top height if you are bending the light down. I’d say it lights at perfect height for puzzles on a dining table. PLUS, Very important The bending on the gooseneck is very tight and doesn’t droop! My only serious concern for other buyers is that the listing says it has a built in USB port. It does not. Instead it uses USB to plug into power, and you will need to have a wall outlet power adapter that receives USB. We used one from an older device. I’ve added a star back to this item. I’ve been using this lamp constantly for extra light on various projects! I walk it around to any location

This lamp was extremely easy to put together and works well. I like that I can move the light part at the top because it bends.
