I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top. A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on.
