• This fan will come with one (4”) downrod in the same finish as the rest of the fan's metal pieces. Please be advised that HKC-US does not supply additional downrods than the included rod(s) in the packaging. If the customer would like a longer downrod, they are welcome to purchase a universal downrod from their local or online hardware retailer in the same finish. Most universal downrods will work with our fans, but if the customer wants to make sure of the measurement, a ¾” or a 1” (diameter) universal downrod will work. After transitioning the half-ball mount that’s included with our downrods to the top of the universal downrod, and positioning it in the mounting bracket, the customer will then install the downrod either internally or externally in/around the connecting bar (called a yoke) that is extending from the top of the fan’s motor. The customer will then secure the downrod by a pin + clip taken from our downrod, and a few set screws included on the yoke. Since our fans are secured to downrods in this manner, it will not matter if the customer obtains a threaded downrod or not – so long as the universal downrod includes a hole for the pin.
