So far so good, for a (discounted) price of ~250. The mattress does not appear to have an actual gel layer. The foam is not dense at all, and does not take time to spring back when compressed, even though it is relatively heavy. The cover itself has blue swirls on the fabric to insinuate that the mattress has “cooling gel” but there is no gel even in the cover from what I can see and feel. This being said, it is a level mattress and a nice, temporary solution that will suit our needs until we are ready to bite the bullet on a pricier option. This would probably be a perfect guest bedroom mattress.

I got the 5 inch full size mattress for my son’s new bed. I don’t know much about mattresses, so I didn’t think through how thin it would be. In hindsight, I should have spent more to get a thicker mattress. This mattress sinks as soon you get on top and you can feel the bed slats underneath. I’m not sure if it’s uncomfortable because of the thinness or the quality.
