The finish on the one we ordered is very pretty, it looks hand finished. There's some beautiful subtlety. The shade needs a good washing before you install it, it's covered in a sticky oil. The shade isn't the most perfect stained glass, but the raised ribs are a lovely detail. It's a nice piece for the money.
