This is a great pergola for the price! It was a lot to put together. One of the pieces got dented in the set up process but it’s minor. The louvred top is easy to adjust. Love this canopy, it provides a good amount of shade but still lets some light through and the price was very reasonable. I received it within a week of ordering and all parts were in good shape, with the exception of one bolt head that had a manufacturing defect. It took about 4 hours to build with two people and required a ladder. It's not complicated to put together, just requires a lot of tightening bolts. Getting the first joists on while also holding the bracing was a little challenging but once you get a couple it on it can hold It's own weight a bit more. It will require being attached to the ground and wall to maintain stability. Pro tip: remove the label stickers as you go so you don't have to climb back up on the ladder later to take them off. I purchased this to extend our usable space on our patio. It took 2 people about 5 hours in the Texas heat to put this together. Pretty nice and sturdy. It comes in 7 boxes + box with screens and curtains if that’s the model purchased. I wish the assembly instructions were in box one and that the instructions told you where the hardware was, The instructions and hardware are in box 5. Make sure all parts are not damaged before starting assembly especially the key structure parts. Some of my louvers were dented but the didn’t effect my assembly. They were replaced, but it took a week to get the replacements. Wayfair and manufacturer were responsive and easy to deal with but it took time to get the replacement parts. I assembled the structure and later just added replacement louvers. Posts and crossbeams are aluminum, louvers and bases are steel. Overall very happy with it.. Witold. Colchester, CT. I love this pergola! I had been debating one for years and finally found one with all the features I wanted. We dont have any trees so theres no natural covering, and the backyard gets blasted with sun during the day. This pergola is perfect for manually adjusting the 4 different sections of louvers for the amount of sun wanted. We havent used the curtains or netting yet but I love having the option when needed. We paid for assembly which occurred over 3 days and 3 different crews. Caution- I dont recommend using the included anchors for anchoring to your base, unless your base is absolutely perfectly level.
