it's elevated old hollywood. it just feels high class, as it should at the price point. if that's what's holding you back, then buy it. it really is worth the money. I paired mine with a low wattage vintage tungsten bulb for that soft amber glow and ambient feel.

Not sure how to put it together, it came with no instructions, and it is not intuitive on how it fits together. The shade is pretty cheap looking and feeling, and very light. Just not the look we wanted.
