Best Knife Sets With Reviews

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cook a lot and one of my biggest pet peeves in the kitchen is having a dull knife that pretty much hacks everything you cut and for me it was time to get new knives so when I saw these with a knife holder (block) I definitely figured these would be worth trying. First off I love that this holder has not only enough room for the knives that it comes with but also for any other knives you might want to put there, especially because this keeps knives from being thrown into a drawer which can not only risk getting cut but also can cause knives to become dull from knocking into each other or hitting into other things. Another great thing about these are the variety of sizes so you can cut smaller things like grapes and not have to use a huge knife where you can risk cutting your hand but big enough knives where you can cut into a roast, and because these knives are so sharp they can easily slide right though things without hacking or sawing away and leaving you with uneven cuts or just messy looking cuts. For me the biggest selling point is because the cut is pretty effortless I was able to cut a somewhat mushy strawberry without squishing it and was able to cut it fairly thin which is great for when I want to dry fruit or cut things like cucumbers or tomato for sandwiches. It also comes with a bread knife which is pretty good to keep your bread from crumbling all over the place when cutting. For me these are pretty fantastic knife and I would definitely recommend.

I love ceramaic knives. The peeler is awesome. The only problem with the peeler is that the nobs that hold the blade in place are plastic and they break after awhile. So far that has not happened with this peeler. The knives are not as sharp as what I have had in the past, but still worth it. (I can't get as thin a slice as I would like). They arrived extremely well packaged. The package was not difficult to unwrap.

The knives came very quickly and were well packed in box. The plastic package that held knives was sooooo hard to open. I used heavy duty scissor and struggled. I also slightly cut my finger on the plastic but maybe it was just me ha. I don't know how else sharp knives would be packaged though, so no big deal. The knives are perfect for steak, chicken, etc. They are all black and have a nice feel in your hand. The price and quality were perfect! Highly recommend

Zwilling now S is a spring color transitioning your kitchen from winter season for a change. It brings fun in the kitchen and an enlightening knife set! The 5" serrated utility knife is a scalpel-like sharpness just as sharp as the prep knife. Though it is serrated, it is perfect for cutting and slicing tomatoes, fruits, and crusty bread. A serrated knife is never needed to sharpen the blade, it stays sharp. A prep knife is as functional as the chef knife, it is smaller but it is a versatile knife too. A lightweight knife but durable, and the handle is so comfortable. I recommend to handwashing, a knife should never go in the dishwasher. It is also a danger when reaching in to load and unload your dishes.

Beautiful on the counter top! I read reviews with complaints about how long it was. That speaks nothing of how good/bad the knives work. That said, it is definitely longer than our previous one but it looks perfect! As for use, when I put the knives in for the first time, you clearly hear it sharpening as the knife slides in! This is the feature my wife wanted the most. I found myself putting the knives in and out just to hear the sound! We have only used the shears (I cut ALL my meats with them!), chef knife (cream of the crop) and steak knives so far. All work perfectly. If there is o e the box, the wood looks fancy! If there is one negative aspect, it's that a few of the knives do not seem to have a perfect fit in their slots. The others fit snug and perfect, a few slide in and drop down a bit loose. It makes them not all line up perfectly. Looks a bit off. Thought maybe I put some knives in the wrong slots but the types are clearly marked on the slots. Doesn't bother us too much but for such a fancy look, it's a small disappointment. Overall we are very happy with the purchase and looking forward to using all the knives at some point!

the knives were very sharp right out of the box. i personally have not used them and we have only owned them for a couple weeks, but my mother (who i bought them for) is very pleased and comments alot on how sharp they are. these were an upgrade of a very old set of henckel knives which my mom liked so much she almost didnt want to put away but were so worn about 1/4 of the blades were missing from sharpening (like i said ... very old set). we have not owned them long enough to be able to have a clear idea of how well the self sharpening is working but when inserting or removing the non serrated blades you can clearly hear the stones honing the edge. needless to say we are very pleased with both the old and the new knives, and have alot of faith that the new set will be even better than the last.

Nice for the price! The knife block is fine but the knife quality is definitely cheap. If you let them sit in the water for a few days it may rust I advise which you should generally do is wash them after your done using them and wipe them dry. Its not a big deal bc I know there are way more expensive knives out there but these are good! They’re also nice and sharp.

These are both super pretty and functional and they match perfectly with my rainbow titanium silverware. I didn’t realize when I bought them that one of them is actually serrated (the purple one), but it was a pleasant surprise. I wish they could have included a larger serrated bread knife in the set but I knew what I was buying and I have no regrets. My only concern is that the plastic used for the blade guards feels a little cheap compared to other kitchen knife blade guards that I’ve had in the past so hopefully those don’t break later on down the road, but it’s still better than not having them at all. Overall very pleased and would purchase these again.

Beautiful knives I owned a similar set by the same brand also candy apple red but it was made with a material where I wouldn’t have to worry about to color chipping but they started coming up missing which is why I was happy to find this color and set by the same brand the reviews some said that the color is peeling but I’m not gonna worry because they are for decoration I still have some knives from the previous set to use so it all works out.

Love these!! We're using a magnetic knife strip with these because they're too cool to be put in a drawer. They're sharp and look great - handles are more like a rubberized or laminated wood than I expected, but I prefer that because I'm more confident putting them in the dishwasher.

I bought this for my good friend for Christmas, I had it sent to her home and she loved the knives. She had a very old set that was just past its prime and she cooks daily and was always complaining that her knives were old and she could not get them sharp enough. She loved the variety of knives in the block and the steak knives, as well as the added bonus of the sharpener built into the block. She loved the whole set. I felt that the purchase was a good one and did not break the bank, price was excellent!

I would prefer to use this set a year before giving a true evaluation of this cutlery set. I have yet to truly use every part of its 19 pieces and have bee limited to just a small handful of the complete set. I like how it is one piece, for those with ive had with wooden handles (wood has pores and it must be added to the metal cutting piece, which in my mind allows germs a lot more easily to be found) so I am satisfied of its well built all metal self. They seem to stay relatively sharp, yet will still need sharpening. The serrated knives are nice, but, except for the steak knives, ive had limited use. Thus, i have given a high rating even though i have had limited use.

I was excited to receive this knife set as a treat to myself. Was really looking for a fillet knife. I was also hoping for an insert telling you which knife is used for what purpose. I didn’t find anything like that. I feel that three of the knives are the same or could be used for the same purpose. I know the red one is a bread knife, but the other with wavy blade, I’m not sure. Paring knife is obviousl Chefs knife as well. What is a Saluki knife used for and then the remaining are just the same as chefs knife. I am left to wonder. I like the look, and they come with protection blade.

I've been complaining about my shabby knives for several years now, as well as my complete lack of steak knives. So for Christmas, the family got me this wonderful Cutlery block. It is exactly what I needed. It is so nice to have fresh, sharp knives handy when ever I want them. The set includes everything I need, including scissors. I have a nephew who is a chef and the fam contacted him for recommendations. He didn't tell them a specific brand, but rather what features to look for. These checked all the boxes and I love them. The handles have a nice slightly chunky grip, making them fit my hand nicely. They are forged in a single piece so the handles will never come off, but they are hollow, so they aren't heavy. Cutting several pounds of chicken can be hard on your hands if your knife isn't just right. These are great! The block is attractive and sets of the stainless steel of the cutlery very nicely. Sitting next to my brand new Power XL air fryer, I totally classed up that end of my kitchen.

I bought this set for a gift because I love my set so much! I have this set in white and bought the Black set for my Daughter as a gift. I like the way they cut and slice, the variety of knives and in the block they look nice on the counter. It may sound funny, but I like the way they feel in my hand, my have to do with the weight and style. I wash and dry them by hand and they still look new and I use them a lot! Very reasonable for a good set of knives!

I just received my replacement order. My first set arrived and the scissors are different from displayed in photos. The are metal with rubber inserts in handles not the brown handles as shown. Not the end of the world but does ruin the aesthetic. I reported the issue to Wayfair and they said they would send a replacement. Then followed up saying they would send an entire new set, no need to return the originals. My second set arrived today and it is the exact same as my first order with the wrong scissors. While I am annoyed that I technically have not received my order as described, its hard to complain now that both my parents and I have new knife sets.

Another great feature is the handles are made with good quality plastic and are very comfortable when holding, easy to grip and do not slip out of my hand when using. My overall thoughts these function and perform well, are easy to clean by hand, made of good quality and durability that will last me a long time!

Redoing my kitchen in copper accents and my old knives would not do. Very pleased with this set! Have a muted copper color that works perfectly with my teakettle and spoon rest. The wood block is VERY attractive, heavy and weighty. The knives are fine- excellent variety- do wish they included scissors or a space for scissors. These are not my "daily cooking knives" as I have a set I keep in my island because logistically that is where I do most of my cutting and chopping. Use the steak knives most often, even putting them in the dishwasher (because teens!) and after a few months they still look great.
