Quality Coffee- Convenient & Quick Process
Do you want a stimulating fresh cup of coffee each morning to start your day? The Keurig K55 is a great home coffee maker in which I firmly believe was worth the money and will provide a spark to your morning. For those of you who drink a cup of coffee to start your day, I recommend this product. The Keurig offers a very convenient and quick way to make a quality cup of coffee. Pros: *Quickness • In less than 5 minutes, you can prepare and completely make a fresh cup of coffee, with the Keurig K55. • This product allows you to skip pass your local Starbucks or Caribou coffee shop on your way to work or school, saving you valuable time each morning. Your inconvenience of traveling out of your way and waiting in lines for coffee is eliminated. *Convenience • Simply fill your Keurig with water, press start to heat the water, place your selected K-cup pod into the Keurig, choose your preferred settings, and your coffee will be finished in no time. • Coffee grounds free. This product uses K-cups, which are liquid containers that produce your desired flavor. The mess of using and the process of disposing coffee grounds is over. • Cleaning this product is hassle free and time efficient. Each of the parts that will need to be cleaned are dishwasher safe. Cleaning it once every 2-3 months is recommended. This alone has saved me 5 minutes each morning, because I previously used to clean my old coffee pot each time before I used it. • This coffee maker is small in size and will fit on all countertops. My roommate has room for it on his desk. *Quality • The coffee tastes great and astonishingly you can choose from over 500 k-cup pod flavor varieties. There are also over 75 top coffee brands you that offer these k-cup pods. • Beverage options range from coffee, tea, cocoa, and more. Cons: *Noise • While the Keurig K55 is heating the water and pouring the coffee it is loud. It makes a loud humming sound, which would wake someone up who is in the same room. The Keurig K55 is my morning catalyst. My roommate and I bought one two weeks ago and we both love using it. It is very convenient and quickly provides a quality cup of coffee each morning.

Good for quick, simple, daily coffee with variety
I am usually an espresso drinker and not a regular coffee drinker, so this Keurig K-Select is an interesting change of pace for me. Here's what I liked about it: Lots of flexibility of cup sizes (four different sizes on the K-Select!). The option to brew a cup "strong." Clearly understandable button controls. Relatively quick warm-up. (The instructions say 3 minutes -- it takes substantially less than that for me.) Many different flavors and drinks available in K-Cups right at your grocery store, which is not the case for my Nespresso machine -- I have to mail order the capsules for that one. The water amount indicator lets you know in plenty of time that you are about to run out. The coffee brews very hot, which I know is very important to many coffee drinkers (though not as much to me). It comes with a water filter! Here's what I didn't like as much: I feel like it looks cheap and plasticky. The matte black is ugly. (Of course that's a matter of individual taste. Maybe I'd like the red better.) My espresso machine looks and feels higher quality, but on the other hand, it is sold at a higher price point to start with so that's understandable. The Keurig is for a different market segment. So the flimsier quality is not necessarily a negative at this price. The water tank is too small and runs out really quickly when multiple people use the machine. The design of Keurig machines causes some coffee grounds to get in your cup sometimes. It doesn't come with a "My K-Cup." The first cup I made was hot chocolate, and it had a chemical taste. Since that was the only chocolate pod I had, I do not know whether the taste was the fault of the pod, or whether I needed to run more hot water through the machine before using it. To be safe, I'd run more water through than the start-up instructions tell you. I did not notice a chemical taste in any of the cups of coffee I tried after that. When you get right down to it, I would stay with my espresso machine instead of the Keurig, but that is a personal taste thing. The coffees I tried with the Keurig tasted OK; I just like espresso better. If I had a household with lots of different people wanting different types of coffee, or coffee in large cup sizes that an espresso machine wouldn't be good at, this machine would work very well for that. The ability to make hot chocolate and such is also fun. I can't say yet how well it would hold up under heavy use, but so far the machine is working as advertised. No concerns about that at this point. I received this machine for free to review it, but all opinions are my own! Even if they told me to write a good review -- and they didn't -- I'm too stubborn to write anything more than what I actually think of the product! :D

Decent replacement for old Cuisinart toaster oven
I agree with several of the prior reviews but I still bought this model. It is not the most intuitive model but now that we’ve had a chance to use it I think it’s great. And it looks better than my old white model. I agree the tray is a little bit flimsier than the old model’s tray but do far it has cleaned up well. The little rack that fits on the tray is flimsy but I’ve used it a few times and it washed up well and did the job reheating. I have silicone sheets I cut to line the tray which makes cleanup easy and keeps the tray cleaner. A big improvement is the crumb tray can be removed from the front vs the back which was annoying with the old model. Even my husband cleans it once in a while now. I agree the tinted glass forces you to open the door to check on the food’s progress but now that we’ve figured out what’s setting to use for which kind of bread, I’m not opening the door to check my food as often. Although I have to say I had a few burnt edges before I got the hang of the setting. I don’t mind that when baking an item it automatically sets the timer for you, but it’s easy enough to add more time during cooking and to add the convection option. I think the old model has a stronger fan but it’s still not a deal breaker. I also don’t mind the twist dial to navigate around settings or to change the darkness, etc. The Old toaster had push buttons that eventually cracked. But that machine worked like a champ for many years. I took it to the shed at our dump and someone grabbed it so I think it’s still being used, LOL. Will this model last as long? The jury is still out but I think it’ll last for a decent amount of time.

Love this all in one coffeemaker, grind and brew
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Cuisinart-Automatic Grind & Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker to review. I love that is has so many options. You can grind your coffee before it is brewed or you can use ground coffee and just turn off the grinder. The coffeemaker has a automatic timer that you can set to have your coffee waiting for you when you wake up in the morning The grinder basket is sort of small, but it was enough for 4-12 cups of coffee depending how strong you like your coffee. You use 1 level scoop per cup. You need to wash the grinder after each use. The blades are sharp. I like that is has a small charcoal filter that is slim. The coffeemaker comes with paper filters as well as the charcoal filter. It also has a permanent gold tone filter basket, however, it states that some coffee grinds may slip through this filter so I used a paper filter in it as well. I did find the paper filters did not fit very well though. It does have a brew pause but suggests against using it, because it could affect the taste of the coffee. It only gives you 20 seconds to remove the carafe and put in your coffee mug to get some coffee before it starts dripping again. The carafe will hold 12 cups of coffee, however, you can make anywhere between 4-12 cups. It comes with a measuring scoop that has a brush on the end. It uses number 4 basket paper filters, which I did not find fit very well. The panel is an LCD display with a clock, number of cups, brew off/on, grind off/on and a clean cycle. It has an auto on which you can activate to set the time you want your coffee to be ready in the morning. I like that it tells you when you need to clean the coffeemaker, but be sure to remove the charcoal filter. It comes with a 3 year warranty. You will need to register your coffeemaker. I really like that the brochure is very detailed, has pictures and goes over how to use and clean he the machine. It also tells you how to grind your coffee and how to store your coffee beans. The brochure goes over everything. I wish it was not so tall because it will not fit under my cabinets but this is a minor thing. It is a very clean looking coffeemaker. The carafe is nice, because the lid on the carafe does not move when you pour your coffee so you will be less likely to spill any coffee. The warming plate will cut off after 2 hours and it is scratch resistant with a nonstick coating. As for cleaning the parts and carafe you can put some in the top of the dishwasher but I think it would be better to hand wash in warm soapy water. You can not submerge the coffeemaker in water. I love the ease of using this coffeemaker and having freshly ground coffee every morning.

Very Pleased With This Coffee Maker
Having used this coffee maker for over a month I like this machine much better than the leading pod coffee maker. The functionality and design of the machine works so much better right down to the way it dispenses the water over the coffee grounds. There is also no wait time between cups waiting for the machine to heat the water. It has multiple settings and is very easy to program. It makes very good coffee for a pod machine. There are two coffee temperatures, hot and extra hot and has multiple cup sizes. The machine has an illuminated display screen and illuminated buttons. It also has a sleek and sophisticated look to it. With all that being said there is room for improvement in future models even though they are minor. To make the machine perfect the display screen needs more contrast to make the reading of it a bit easier. It is a beautiful blue color but the icons and messages could be bolder. one last thing to make it perfect would be an LED light in the water reservoir to make monitoring the water level easier plus a hinged lid on the reservoir would be nice instead of totally having to remove it to add water. None of this changes the functionality of the machine it just makes it even more deluxe. After using the leading brand for many years the reliability of the last two machines I have owned has been subpar. Each machine lasted only one year and I always used purified water in them. That is why I decided to go with the Cuisinart. I'm so glad I did because it works so much better. I can't vouch for the longevity of the machine having it for only a month but if it holds up I will be even more pleased. It appears very well built and has an expensive look on my counter. So to sum all of this up I am very pleased with the machine from the way it makes coffee, to the taste of the coffee and the way the machine looks plus the ease of use.

Delicious Espresso and a Fancy Machine Too
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently have one of the classic nespresso machines and I love it. I wanted to try out the Vertuo machine, but was concerned about it being too big, since I have limited counter top space. However, the machine is relatively narrow and fits nicely on the available space I have. I also love that the water reservoir is on a swivel, so you can move it to a spot where it takes up less room. Even the power cable is adjustable so you can choose which side of the machine it comes out on. I’m usually not a fan of red, but it really makes a nice pop of color in the kitchen, where all of our other appliances are silver or black. It’s a nice deep red too. Let me tell you, this machine is fancy compared to my little classic nespresso machine. An example: I was having a hard time figuring out how to open the lid where the capsule goes, until I plugged it in and realized that it’s electric! You lightly tap upwards on the lever and it opens. Vice versa for closing it. It even has a cleaning function. You press the button 3 times within 2 seconds and the light will blink orange to indicate its cleaning. So cool! Unlike the classic nespresso machines and capsules, the capsules on the vertuo have a barcode and the machine a barcode reader. Once you put the capsule in, the machine reads the barcode and determines what kind of capsule it is. There’s no need to choose the size of your drink. You just press the button. Just make sure your cup is large enough for whatever kind of coffee you’re brewing. And of course, it makes some delicious espresso. My machine came with the Aeroccino frother which is a separate device to froth milk. I was super excited to try it since I’ve made a lot of attempts with other gadgets to froth milk, but never used one that plugs into the wall like this. The device has a spring inside of it that creates the frothed milk, you can remove it to make just hot milk. There’s a little spot to store it in the lid when you’re not using it. Thus, there are two max fill lines, one for hot milk, and one for frothed. You also have the option to do a cold milk froth or hot milk froth depending on how long you press the button. The instructions don’t mention a minimum fill amount, so I used about half the amount of milk than the max allowed. So far I’ve only tried the hot froth option and it certainly does produce a good amount of foam. Is the micro foam as good as what you could get with a real milk steamer? Probably not, but it’s quick, easy to use, and easy to clean. I’m also not convinced that it does a better job than the other gadgets I have, but it is much easier to clean than the other devices. You just rinse it with water and pop it back on its base. Overall, this whole system is great and it beats Starbucks coffee and is definitely the next best thing to craft coffeehouse coffee.

Best coffeemaker I've ever owned
Here's the main thing you need to know about this coffeemaker: It brews an outstanding cup of coffee and you won't be disappointed if you buy it. I've owned a variety of coffeemakers and this one is hands down the best I've ever had. I've been using it for a month now without any issues and can honestly say I look forward to my morning coffee every day. The machine is chock full of nice features but is really simple to operate. Don't be put off by all the buttons on the control panel. Programming the clock and auto-on timer is a snap and you can customize the brew if you like stronger coffee by pushing the bold button. If you don't want a lot of coffee some mornings but want to maintain the brew strength, there's a setting for making 1-4 cups -- just push another button. The unit can keep your coffee hot for up to four hours before automatically turning off and you can also adjust the warming plate temperature to low, medium or high to maintain brewed coffee at the temp you like. Like most coffeemakers these days, you can momentarily pause the brewing process by removing the carafe and pouring yourself a cup. One of the features I particularly like is the no-drip spout on the carafe. Every other coffeemaker I've owned managed to drip a drop or two or three from the spout at the end of a pour. This Cuisinart has yet to dribble the first drop. Another nice feature is a red warning light that illuminates when the machine detects it's time to clean/decalcify. The process is made easy by adding the indicated amount of water and white vinegar to the reservoir and then pushing the clean button. The coffeemaker does the rest. Some reviewers have complained about the five beeps that sound at the end of the brewing cycle. The beeps last for only a couple of seconds and I don't find them annoying, but if you find the feature bothersome it can easily be turned off. The one minor complaint I do agree with, though, is filling the water reservoir. The reservoir is filled at the right rear of the unit but when the lid is open there's not a lot of room to maneuver the large carafe so that it empties. With care, it is possible to do it but I find it easier to use a large kitchen measuring cup and fill it a couple of times. The measuring cup is small enough to work in the tight space. Regardless, this is a small quibble. Coffee drinkers are particular folks and it will take some experimenting to find the combination of coffee, coffee grind, water and filter that works best for you, not to mention if you like your brew bold or regular. The Cuisinart comes with one replaceable charcoal water filter, a permanent gold-tone commercial-style filter and several disposable paper filters. You can use either the permanent filter (my choice) or a paper filter. My choice of water is filtered water from the refrigerator. Oh, and you also get a Cuisinart coffee scoop. To sum up, this Cuisinart makes a really great cup of coffee and is versatile enough to please the most demanding coffee drinker.

Fantastic Versatility!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this product to review free of charge in exchange for my honest review. I was sent this product back in October and have been using the product since that time. Firstly let me say that this is my first pour over optional coffee maker experience and as such there was a learning curve when using that option. That being said I adore how it works with pour over coffee. This coffee pot came with a mug that I adore and that retains heat very well. As a gamer sometimes I get caught up in the game and forget about my coffee until it is cold, with the included travelers mug that does't happen. I love that I can freshly brew just a mug full or a small carafe full. This is the perfect size coffee pot for me when I wake up before everyone else and it is only me drinking the coffee. The removable stand allows me to change the size of cup I am using if i wish to use something other than the travelers mug that came with the coffee station. There is one drawback that I must mention, for myself it isn't an issue as I drink my coffee out of larger mugs that pretty much take the entire carafe, however, if you are someone that uses a "normal" sized coffee mug you might find issue with the fact that this machine does not have a warming plate on it. That being said it makes coffee way hotter than my previous drip coffee pots.

My faithful workhorse
This is my third or fourth coffeemaker of this exact model (12 cup capacity, clock and programmable timer). Before the Black and Deckers I had previously used a Mr. Coffee maker (didn't like the coffee it made) and a Bunn (also didn't like due to personal preferences, coffee was great though). The slight design changes on my recent purchase show one improvement, namely that the silver trim piece on the basket-holder is now at the top and won't interfere with trying to wipe out the basket holder. It also has one feature that I feel is worse, lots of extra "vanes" of plastic on the inside of the basket. This would not be a problem if I used a dishwasher to wash the basket (that gets them shiningly clean!) but as I must wash the basket by hand it will be much more tedious to get the oils and coffee solids cleaned out. My older B&D coffeemakers had the warming burner fail; my most recent one slowed down during coffeemaking enough that the coffee was sub-par. After doing a vinegar cleaning (I hadn't done that in years) it is working fine, but I wanted a new maker as a back-up. Not having coffee in my house is a major emergency, as we live far from shops to buy coffee. I am very happy that this same model continues to be manufactured; I'd hate to have to try to find a different brand that I like as well, and is also economical. We make two half-pots of coffee most days. I am not sure whether adding images will work, as the submit button is above the choice to add them, and nothing happens when I try to add them BEFORE hitting that "Submit" button. If they can be added, the photos with red arrows drawn on show where the metal clips are inside the basket holder. Trying to clean the older style of coffee residue and moisture tears up the paper towel and doesn't really come clean. The clips for the silver trim on the newer unit are above where the coffee grounds and residue will be. The other two photos show the much taller and more numerous plastic vanes in the newer unit's basket and the older basket's shorter vanes running up the inside.

Great tasting coffee, easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace a very basic coffee maker we'd had for years, and it's been nice so far. It takes conical filters that we had to buy (we didn't want to use the permanent one it comes with because we didn't want to wash coffee grounds into our septic field, but if you're on sewer or don't care, then even better, you won't have to buy filters!). The very first step I took after turning it on and getting the initial setup complete (clock, etc), was hit that nice "Brew Strength" button. Bold is the way to go! It makes very flavorful and bold coffee, which is awesome, and I love that we can adjust the temperature too, which I'm still deciding which way I like it. Hot is too much for me, but the two other settings are both a good drinkable temperature, and it won't cool down too quickly on the middle setting so I think that's where we'll keep it. The timed brewing is nice too, and easy to figure out once I took a moment to read the instructions, and it works great. I haven't tested pulling the coffee pot out while it's brewing to pour a cup, so I'm not sure how much it'll drip then, but I have noticed that it doesn't drip or spill as easily as our last coffee pot when pouring into a mug. The shape is apparently effective at preventing that, it seems, which is really nice. Also, I've noticed that it lets a few coffee grounds through into the pot sometimes, which is a little annoying, but less than our previous one, so maybe that's something every coffee maker has to deal with. It makes enough coffee for about 3 days worth of drinking in our family too, so we only brew every few days and just leave it in the pot for later. Haven't tried seeing if the coffee maker would warm it back up instead of microwaving it. Overall, a very nice coffee maker we're glad to have!
