The design is the best feature by far. I washed it thoroughly before filling it and didn’t find it difficult—I just poured in hot water and dish soap, shook it up and rinsed, and let it dry for 12 hours. But while I filled it after drying, my grandparents walked into the kitchen at different times and both said “what is that??” It’s so eye-catching and unique. And the marine blue color looks amazing. Where it suffers a bit is in quality and ease of use. There are some ripples on the outer surface that look like maybe a defect from cheaply applied glaze, and some weird rough bits just on the inside that feel like sloppy pottery that was glazed over. Also, while the pour is perfect, it does drip a tiny bit down the spout after each pour. After four or five pours, it starts to drip down the side and onto the counter unless the spout is wiped after each pour. It’s not a huge inconvenience but still notable.
Overall this thing is so beautiful and affordable that I definitely recommend it for people who reach for oil often in their kitchen and who like great design.
