I was looking for something to keep a few onions and/or potatoes in. I’m single and don’t cook enough or eat 5 apples a day to have a use for most giant fruit bowls, ha. This is oval in shape (not round) which is a little difficult to tell from the photo. It works for what I was looking for!. Jonathan. Amarillo, TX. Sat Feb 13 2021

The cut-out paper doll motif created by design duo Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, who goes by the name King-Kong, adorns a range of everyday objects like the Girotondo stainless steel basket.

The designs by Abi Alice reflect the young Australian’s interest in geometry and mathematics. Alice uses the geometry inherent in her designs and pictures to create three-dimensional sculptural objects.

Claudia raimondo is an architect with a ph.D. In industrial design. She lives and works in milan. Her professional interests are highly specific, marked by original features of research and innovation in the cmf sphere (color, materials, and finishes). Her cmf projects are based on products—like the collaboration with alessi—and context, especially via the development of mega-projects linked to brand identity, company image, and the retail outlets of famous names like rolex and tudor.

The small yet intriguing "Pianissimo" basket joins "Resonance" and "Harmonic", becoming Abi Alice's third collaboration with Alessi. In line with Alice's artistic style, "Pianissimo" starts with a geometric design and becomes a three-dimensional object featuring a geometrically rich and complex shape. An intriguing object made for the simple gesture of offering, Pianissimo enriches its contents thanks to detail and shape definition. Made with stainless steel, the "Pianissimo" basket is a durable and stylish kitchen icon.

La Stanza dello Scirocco is a range of items suitable for different rooms, such as the kitchen and the living room born out of the abstract and motionless atmosphere of a magic place: The room in large Sicilian country homes where one is forced to seek shelter from the sultriness while waiting for the scirocco to die down. The upshot is a collection of geometrically irregular items made up of small splinters of various sizes, interlaced in an unstable balance.

Newness, freshness, and poetry dominate the aesthetic/constructive approach developed by the Campana brothers, Fernando and Humberto, for their “Blow Up” series, in which the form of the objects is created by the play of shapes and spaces generated by the steel rods put together almost at random. The theme is as recognizable here as it is in many of the designs by the talented Brazilian pair.

A banana holder made of a metal fork banana holder in chrome-plated Zamak. Dear Charlie was designed by John Truex. Dear Charlie is in support of bananas, whose shape is reminiscent of a small branch. The hanging bananas do not come into contact with the ripening gasses of other fruits and therefore are preserved most appropriately. The rubber-covered base, together with the object’s weight, guarantees stability on every surface. Dear Charlie can also be used as a support for other fruits or vegetables - a bunch of grapes, chilies, garlic - or it can hold jewelry such as rings, bracelets, and earrings.

It is sturdy and small enough to fit in the space I have for it. It looks really nice and the bananas stay well balanced on it.. Sandra. Brooklyn, NY. Wed Dec 05 2018

Introduced by this collection, the serving bowl is made from two separate curves of stainless steel; one that forms the inside and one that forms the outside of the bowl.
