The colors, shapes, and appearance of the glaze as well as the overall look depend on the firing temperature and time and may vary slightly from piece to piece - each piece is unique and may show individual structures and shades.

As others have mentioned, these are tiny plates, but I read the measurements, so I knew what to expect. I like them. The drawings on them are intricate and old fashioned looking, and I like the simplicity of them just being black on the cream colored plate. I attached wire hoops to their backs to use them as wall decor in some small spaces. They would probably also work nicely for cheese and crackers, or some small snack with a cup of tea!
