These are not flimsy dishes and you can feel how substantial they are when you hold them. Not heavy, but not a thin Corelle either. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these to replace my old porcelain set and boy am I glad I did! They are absolutely stunning for one! Also, very practical which is obviously a plus. They are quite heavy, but have been through my dishwasher and microwave multiple times without any issues. I love the lipped rim which to me is a small thing, but oh so convenient! These dishes almost seem to fancy to use on a daily basis! Definitely glad I chose them!. Fritzka226. Wellsboro, PA.
