The designs by Abi Alice reflect the young Australian’s interest in geometry and mathematics. Alice uses the geometry inherent in her designs and pictures to create three-dimensional sculptural objects.

La Stanza dello Scirocco is a range of items suitable for different rooms, such as the kitchen and the living room born out of the abstract and motionless atmosphere of a magic place: The room in large Sicilian country homes where one is forced to seek shelter from the sultriness while waiting for the scirocco to die down. The upshot is a collection of geometrically irregular items made up of small splinters of various sizes, interlaced in an unstable balance.

Beautiful and clever. Smaller than anticipated but dimensions were given. Wish I had bought the larger size.. Patricia. Anacortes, WA. Mon Sep 07 2020

This stunning Alessi serving bowl features a refined design and elegant contours that add sophistication to any dining occasion. Crafted to perfection, it is not only a functional piece but also a statement of style. Whether you're hosting a dinner party or enjoying a quiet meal at home, it enhances your table with its understated elegance.

wash your fruit and have a handy display in one piece. It's the usual Alessi quality and the only con is the price but it was worth it for us.. Kathy. New York, NY. Sun May 19 2013

"La Stanza dello Scirocco" centerpiece. It is a room without windows in which you can do nothing but ponder the wind that is undoing all sublunary things outside. The upshot is a collection of geometrically irregular items made up of small splinters of various sizes, interlaced in an unstable balance. And so I came up with the idea that "La Stanza dello Scirocco" could be recounted through the story of drawings done by hand and through images of shadows, and that we could then ask everyone to exert themselves ever so slightly and make a small input with their own imaginations. Mario Trimarchi

The small yet intriguing "Pianissimo" basket joins "Resonance" and "Harmonic", becoming Abi Alice's third collaboration with Alessi. In line with Alice's artistic style, "Pianissimo" starts with a geometric design and becomes a three-dimensional object featuring a geometrically rich and complex shape. An intriguing object made for the simple gesture of offering, Pianissimo enriches its contents thanks to detail and shape definition. Made with stainless steel, the "Pianissimo" basket is a durable and stylish kitchen icon.

Originally an artistic drawing, the Resonance fruit bowl was eventually transformed into a three-dimensional object by cutting, bending, and curving steel sheets. The same geometric base, with its poetic properties, can be used to produce three different results: A drawing, a painting, and an object. The name ''Resonance'' is derived from her conviction that when the final composition is harmonious, it is like a melodious sound resonating in the air.
