Was looking for a cool mis-matched abstract style salt & pepper mill, so I was thrilled to stumble across this pair of misfits. They are a nice large size, look exactly as pictured, and so far work great. Yes, they do leave debris behind where they sit, but that's been the nature of every mill I've ever owned, so not an issue for me. My only complaint so far is that I haven't found a way to adjust the pepper grind size, so it comes out a bit chunky. Cole and mason is THE salt and pepper grinder brand to buy. We bought our first set more than 15 years ago. That set just gave way… these new ones are great with the acrylic you can obv see how much salt and pepper is left in each ! Love them. If you are persnickety know that when you set them down you will get some SP in the counter… if that’s a big deal for you maybe these aren’t the ones for you. Best peppermill ever made - period. I have 3 of these. One at home, one at a rental and one as a spare should one of the other two ever decide to either break (I doubt it) or grow legs (at rental) and walk out (more likely than breaking). Peugeot mills are made to last. I guess you don't know how bad your peppermill is until you use a really good one. This thing doesn't clog and grinds pepper corns in a consistent "flow". The adjustments guarantee that if you want a fine grind , you'll find no big pepper chunks in it, but if you want chunks, it will give you that too. The adjustment for coarseness is precise and consistent. I have been using one of these almost daily (unless I'm lazy and don't cook that day!) for about 17 years... the same one, and am as happy with it today as I was on day one.
