I bought two in green, and two in blue. They are a nice size, lightweight, but heavy enough for a classy look. We paired them with the Cobalt blue dishes. Enjoy effortless elegance with these versatile plates, perfect for both salads and desserts. Crafted with superior technology, these plates offer exceptional everyday convenience, moving seamlessly from oven to table to dishwasher.

I bought these salad plates to replace the ones I had broken over the years from my Sophie Conran set that I purchased about 12 years ago. Most of the damage came from accidentally dropping them because Sophie Conran dishes are incredibly resilient. None of my original plates have chipped over the years, which really says a lot about the quality. I was honestly surprised at how well my original plates have held up. The glaze on the new plates matches my 12 year old plates so closely that it’s difficult to tell the difference between them. In the photo I included, the plate on the left is brand new and the plate on the right is from my original collection purchased 12 years ago. They are still just as shiny and beautiful. Sophie Conran by Portmeirion is truly a fantastic investment if you want timeless, high quality everyday dishes that continue to look beautiful year after year.. Victoria. Chesapeake, Virginia. Stoneware is a type of dinnerware, made of clay that is fired at a high temperature until it has the consistency of glass. This results in a very strong material with a stone-like look and quality. This bowl is colored in a pleasant hue, fading slightly at the rim, and decorated with understated black speckles. One bowl may just not be enough, mix and match with our other Mesa Ceramics dinnerware or purchase a complete set for a unified look.

The Ella Collection is the intersection where traditional Chinese culture takes on a modern floral design! Ella is both beautiful and perfectly practical. Ella’s fresh floral pattern leans into design inspiration stemming from across Asia. The pattern is influenced by Indian Sanganer patterns found on textiles while showcasing textured floral art created by our artisans. The Ella Collection began with a functional ramen bowl that was paired with lovely wooden chopsticks and now features many more pieces such as storage canister sets, dinner bowls, plates, and accessories. With Ella, a gentle feeling of peace and harmony surrounds every meal.

Love love love this entire line. We replaced a set of 25 year old dishes with these. I ordered 4 of the square dinner plates for serving. They don't stack as flat as the round version and take more room in the dishwasher so not practical for everyday use. Ordered everything else in round--dinner, salad, cereal, and very cute appetizer plates (4 1/2" diameter)--great for rolls/butter, underplates for condiments etc. there are a few differences in thickness in everything-plates and bowls. If you are a perfectionist, beware! But I like this unexpected characteristic--makes it seem closer to hand made. Highly recommend.. Lee. Stevenson, MD. Wed May 06 2026
