I was pretty excited about these but in person they have this yellow tinge about them that is likely intended to make them look aged but it just looks dingy and dirty. The speckling is also a lot less subtle than pictured. With all of this, food would not look appetizing on them, in my opinion. But if those things aren’t a turn off for you, they are a great weight, not too heavy or too light, and feel high quality. I like their shape a lot, the angles to them and the depth. These dishes are really nice! They are lighter weight, which makes me worry they are a bit fragile. They are not marked as microwave and dishwasher safe, but the insert says they are. Our style is modern/transitional, and yet these look lovely and right at home on our dining table! The bowls have a natural shape to their edges, and unfortunately do not have the embossed leaf design that's on the plates. I love the soft dove-grey colour, the glossy finish, and the subtle linen/fabric sort of background pattern. The pieces are not thick or heavy, but nor are they thin and delicate.
