Items were wrapped with care and arrived in perfect condition- no scratches or chips at all. The stoneware is very heavy duty and is very high quality. The dishes arrived safe and sound. They were packaged well and were delivered very quickly. They have a good weight and feel in your hand. Didn’t notice any manufacturing flaws or blemishes (bought two sets). Banged one pretty hard, by accident, and didn’t manage to break it. I heated up food in the microwave and the plates did not get hot. My only issue is that these dishes are advertised as being white and they are light gray. The band on the rim is not black, it is a darker gray. See my attached picture on a white table. I will keep them because I do like them. I just wish that they were the color that I wanted.. Deborah. I bought this with the matching dishes. I love the whole set. The quality is great and it came direct from red vanilla (the actual manufacturer). They came well packaged without any issues. The platter and serving bowl do not fit in my upper cabinets but that could be because my cabinets are older and the door is inset. Otherwise, they would fit. I do wish there was a gravy boat and other serving bowl sizes but there are very few dish sets with those available anymore. I had been wanting white dishes for a while. I finally pulled the trigger on these dishes and I’m so glad I did. One of my issues has been the cereal bowls in most sets are so deep they don’t fit in the dishwasher well. These don’t have that issue. The trade off though is they’re so wide a teaspoon can slide down into the bowl. I love that there are also serving pieces included. So far I really like these dishes though. They arrived well packaged and not one was broken. I’m hoping they don’t show scratches from using a knife to cut meat on them. So far so good. 6 month update I still really like these dishes. They have held up well and do not show scratches from cutting meat on them. There has also been no chips, cracks or stains. I wish it was in stock so I could order a set for our second home. The only negative is now I’m finding the stickers from the bottom in my dishwasher. 9 month update, I still like the dishes, but a few now have chips on the edges. I’m not sure exactly how they happened as we are not rough with our dishes. We don’t have any young kids at home. I can see a few scratches on the plates as well, but they’re not too bad.. Susan.
